What short game golf drills can i do at home?

March 7th, 2010 by Affair Tragedy

Obivously i can putt on a rug but does anyone know any drills that include chipping/ pitching or anything to do with short game that i could do in my house

one that works very well. purchase baseball warm up rings. 2 of them. use left arm to practise chip shots without ball. also practise putting stroke with doughnuts works wonders. try to find old club. thrift shop etc. have training grip installed. along with warm up weights. grip re grip. watching t v. may sound easy but it does work.

On the moon if you hit a golf ball hard enough would you be able to put it into orbit?

To really improve putting putt on a garage floor. Chip into cups. If your good and have space try to hit little flops over chairs. Then just chip on the carpet. also hit soft foam practice balls and make them spin back, because they spin a lot more than other balls. Then just work on your form with a mirror.

The only other drill besides putting indoors, would be to work on my bump and run shots. If you have a nice spacious room, you can set up a small target on the floor…and use your wedges to simply chip….and hopefully land on or next to your target. (I have one of those holes that you putt into)

If you chip it well…it will hit, and check up….if you hit it fat OR thin, it will role just like a putt and zoom past your target.

    lol…..simple, but fun!

    Good luck with your game!

Depending on the size, you could chip. But make sure you have the soft foam balls to chip with. Like others said, bump and run, putting on the garage floor is also a good idea, it is quicker than greens and it will help you judge speed better.
